i'm quite amazed at what an effect luke's absence is having on my ability to sleep. Who would have thought I'd become so accustomed to sharing a bed with someone other than oscarkitty so quickly.

i guess this means we are officially 'shacked up'. Funny that after five years together we continue to evolve in these subtle ways. I like that we took things easy - didn't rush into living together as so many twentysomethings are wont to do, as though they'll run out of time. sadly, such a rush often leads to a crashburn.

so in his brief departure (camping in the Yarra Ranges) I have been keeping myself busy laying out my new zine, finishing off the book chapter for Sounds of the Slayer, crafting my little arse off, and generally attempting to protect myself from the recent extremity of melbourne weather (sweltering, then storming, then cold, then windy, then HOT...)
