too many things...
I've been marking assignments today (the large pile of Buffy essays is now out of the way) but really all I can think about are the massive amounts of work I need to do and all the knitting projects I am fantasising about.
The conference paper, thesis chapter, zine, final draft for the book chapter. And thinking about how to approach the Lounge Critic which is coming up. I don't know where to start, or where to pick things up and I become increasingly agitated and worried about my capacity to do everything, and do it well. All the while still managing to enjoy my life. Hence the knittery.
I've been trying to track down 4.5mm 40cm circulars and coming up empty handed. I caught buses all around the north eastern 'burbs yesterday hoping to wind up lucky so that I could get moving on the S'n'B kittyville hat. I scored some gorgeous merino/silk blend yarn from my local yarn store and now I'm itching to get started. Instead, I had to make do with starting on the knitty pomo legwarmers (I'm doing them with double yarn and minus the mohair - awful scratchy stuff). I'll hit the city tomorrow morning and hopefully satisfy my quest.

unsuccesful knitty expeditions are the worst. :[
I hope you managed to track down your needles without having to trek around the entire city! Be sure to post about your kitty hat - it sounds gorgeous.
