1. why oh why does my heart have to be broken?

The Belle and Seb site quotes the ticket price for the melbourne gigs at $60 (pending booking charges). Ticketmaster has the audacity to bump that up to $73. Too rich for my blood.

And so now I must suffer the heartache of staying at home, wringing my hands while more monied folks get their rocks off at The Palais.

2. Is there a blog ring for thesis brats? I think there should be. Lord knows there's a community for everything else.

There are some livejournal communities for academics but nothing particularly good.

Perhaps someone should start a thesis brats blog. [nod] :)

I have had a look at a couple of the LJ communities (like academics_anon)... Thanks for the reminder :)

It just seems odd to me that someone hasn't started up such a blog community for the greater masses (ie non LJers).

i haven't got belle & seb tix either.

i think someone needs to have a "B&S Ball" that night, where twee music is played and people have to wear vests and brown trousers and hair in pigtails, and sit on carpets. it'd be fun.
