Bumblebee and Serendipity

The Guardian has published the results from a worldwide survey conducted by the British Council asking participants the words they think most beautiful in the English language.

Bizarrely "Hen night" just scraped into the list at number 70.

And just in case you're wondering, here are my faves from the list:

Passion (2), Blossom (12), Sweetheart (14), Gorgeous (15), Grace (19), Twinkle (23), Serendipity (24), Bliss (25), Lullaby (26), Bubble (31), Pumpkin (40), Bumblebee (44), Hippopotamus (52), Tickle (57), Shipshape (65), Zing (68)

Hmm, what about cellar door? The most beautiful word combination according to Tolkien...

ah but 'cellar door' is not one word... so it is exempt i suppose.

Tolkien can rest easy that LOTR is apparently Australia's Favourite Book. Beating the Bible. It's not my choice but I'll stand behind it if it keeps the Bible out of the top spot...
