Telerecommendations
TelerecommendationsSince coordinating a TV studies course this semester, I've hardly watched any. The exception being a couple of intensive weeks of
Big Brother - I got sucked in during research for the weeks on reality TV. I haven't watched
The O.C in weeks (it's been boring me shitless) and have dropped the ball with both
Lost and
Desperate Housewives since neither of them really took off narratively for me.
Is there anything worth watching at the moment? The fact that our TV is not in the living area, but tucked away in my office means I tend not to graze and therefore often miss random bits and pieces. Luke and I tend to spend our evenings either locked in game battle, or separately tied up in rock/knitting respectively.
What should I bother checking out on the box at the moment?

Dr Who. Seriously. It's edgy and pop.culture aware. Funny, well written, pleasant to look at, that Eccleston weirdy plays a cool edgy leather jacketed Doctor. It's better than it ought be.

There's a new show called House starting soon that looks like it has potential. It stars Hugh Laurie and I found the ads rather amusing. :)
There's a show on Monday nights called Last Man Standing. I haven't seen it but I walked in on the end of it and my housemates had been enjoying it. Seems like a male version of Secret Life of Us. Might be okay...? Something new, anyway.

I agree, Doctor Who is strangely addictive. I don't know what it is about the show, it's supposed to be tacky, but i can't pull my eyes away whenever it's on.
Other than that, I don't watch tv at all usually. I wouldn't even bother, Katy. Unless you're bored of rock and knitting.
